CONSIDER: Dozens of Scriptures predict the return of the Jewish people from the four corners of the earth to their ancient homeland. History demonstrates that these prophecies began to be fulfilled in the twentieth century.

THE PROPHECIES OF MOSES

A scribe of Moses wrote the book of Deuteronomy between 1300 and 1500 B.C. In its pages, the history of the Jewish people was written in advance. Moses predicted the Jewish people would be scattered among all nations. This global dispersion is a fact of world history.

DEUTERONOMY 28:64

64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.

PROPHECY FULFILLED: This prophecy began to be fulfilled about 2,000 years after it was written. The Diaspora of the Jewish people into the entire world began after the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 A.D. However, it was not until hundreds of years after this date that they were scattered “from one end of the earth unto the other” as Moses predicted.

DEUTERONOMY 30:3-5

3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

PROPHECY FULFILLED: We are witnessing the fulfillment of this prophecy before our eyes. The second Zionist movement has been occurring since the twentieth century. This historic event continues today—and will continue until the Messiah returns, and gathers all remaining Jews to Israel.

HOW COULD MOSES FORESEE THE FUTURE?

These two literal prophecies were fulfilled by two major historic events:

(1) The Jewish people would be cast into the entire world,

and

(2) Return from the entire world to reclaim their homeland.

Copies of Deuteronomy were found in Dead Sea Scrolls, dating as early as the 2nd century, B.C. Even from this date, at least 1,500 years passed between the copies of these prophecies and their fulfillment.
